The point of beginning for our expedition in Southeast Alaska was Sitka.
Sitka lies at the Pacific edge of the Alexander Archipeligo and was the center of Russian influence in the Americas.
We landed at Petersburg and docked among the many fishing boats to take on provisions.
This fishing hamlet is, well, elfin. Elevated boardwalks serve as the streets of town.
Our expedition ended at Juneau. The capitol of Alaska has become rather touristy and when the cruise ships come in, is rather filled with tourists.
