On the morning of September 11th,
civilians in the United States
were suddenly and deliberately attacked
by forces of international terrorism.

Unarmed, many were unable to defend themselves.
More than 3,000 perished.
Among them were citizens of more than 70 civilized nations.

Those who mourn today
will remove this scourge upon the earth
... and build a better world tomorrow.
